When you move to an agency that requires you to transfer your domain and hosting account to them, please know you are losing ownership of your website. Even if they tell you that you own it, if they host it, they own the files and can control them 100%. This locks you into a relationship with them, even if they become unresponsive. 

Transferring a domain to a marketing agency has huge risks. Some have in the fine print that if you ever cancel that you lose ownership of your domain, which would include losing all history, backlinks and SEO generated throughout the years. Others note that if you cancel with them, you have to pay a fee (we've seen one of $8000) to transfer the domain out or back to yourself.

So yes, you can transfer your domain to them, but we do not recommend it. 

After you have given us 30 days notice, paid any final due invoice(s) and have formally signed a cancelation form, we can assist you with your domain transfer by sending you instructions.

If you are a past client of Identity Dental Marketing, you are currently the owner of your hosting and domain account, you can also give your new marketing agency this information and they can transfer it on your behalf. As non-owners of your hosting and domain account, we cannot login and transfer it for you.
