SEO is the process of getting your website to rank on top of Google. There are two kinds of SEO: there's onsite and there’s offsite SEO.
On-site SEO includes everything that we do to your website to get Google to recognize it as important and rank it on top of search results. Offsite SEO includes everything that we do to other websites to get Google to recognize your website as important and allow it to rank well in search results.
Examples of onsite SEO include metadata, microdata, page content, word count, dictionary, map embeds, a blog feed, regularly adding content, hosting speed, and how the site is physically coded among many other things. A website has a limited number of positions for keyword integration. For instance, page titles and headings that include main search terms rank better than sites that don’t have a defined and focused keyword strategy. Some people try to get rankings immediately for 50 keywords and end up spreading the opportunity too thin. As a result, they end up not ranking for any. We tend to go after main search terms first and through ongoing blogging and content optimization we gain rankings for long-tail keywords over time. This strategy gets the best bang for your buck and allows for top rankings for search terms such as town dentist/dentist in your town.
Off-site SEO is done by adding optimized content online in the form of directory listings, images, articles, blogs, social media content, and more.
Our team handles both on-site and off-site optimization each month. The tasks related to your campaign get delegated through our project management system, which allows us to ensure each client gets a fair amount of attention and work.
We track results in 3 ways. We look at rankings results on Google, and website traffic through your custom dashboard and we ask you for new patient reports. We always recommend tracking new patient referral sources internally so that we can see that as we get results on Google you get them in the practice.
We will be meeting quarterly to look at your stats and hear about your practice goals.
If you have any very detailed questions about our SEO processes, I’m happy to pass those on to our SEO team and get back to you.
Typically we can get top 3 rankings in 6 months, but this does vary based on competition level and also the quantity of Google reviews since that is a strong ranking factor.
I recommend keeping our quarterly meetings booked, ensuring your team provides you monthly new patient reports to watch trends, and is focused on generating reviews to Google specifically. In addition, anytime you post online to social media, include a link back to your website to contribute to our collective efforts.
