We don’t recommend utilizing embed codes provided by Youtube for video integration for the following reasons:

  • YouTube pushes viewers to watch other videos while still on your site. They may include videos posted by your competitors.
It may also include inappropriate or irrelevant content.

  • The YouTube channel may be owned by a past marketing agency. This would mean the videos would disappear at some
time, with no recourse on our part.

  • YouTube controls what content stays live. They have shut down inactive channels, leaving blank pages and broken links
    on sites.

  • We don’t recommend that you use your website to self host inside page videos, as this can overwhelm the server over time
and impact overall website load speed. Homepage videos can and should be hosted by the website for optimal speed scores.

Instead, please send us the video files or the Youtube links, with an indication of which page you’d like each video placed. From there, we will download them, then upload them to your website, hosted through a secure third party platform. It’s also important you store your videos remotely for your future use and reference.
